Using kimchi recipe from drbenkim
Making kimchi was so impromptu at that time so I couldn't remember all the ingredients. In the end, I've bought the wrong chilli powder and pear. You know what kind of chilli powder I've bought? THE DRIED CHILLI POWDER! Can't imagine if it is being used for kimchi, siao loh. Hence, have to make a trip to lotte mart to buy right chilli powder.
Chop them into bite size. Lovely~
Add some salt(i used 1/3 cup) into warm water and stir to dissolve the salt.
Soak the cabbage for about 4 to 6 hours. (went out till late so it has been soaked for 10 hrs!)
Green onion, yellow onion, red apple, garlic and green pear (forgot that it should be nashi pear but couldnt care less, just use it)
Chop or slice them.
The little culprit behind my tears.
Put them into the blender to make it like a paste.
Forgot to add ginger into the blender -_-
Pour away the salt water and rinse it for 2-3 times.
Red pepper/chilli powder (warning: don't buy the wrong one!)
Add some warm water and mix it into paste form.
Lazy to use my hands and tadah~ wooden spatula. By the way, I've replaced of fish sauce with 1 teaspoon of salt.
Stir and mix well.
Another problem, I do not have any glass jar so just put into container for the so called "fermentation" process.
Close up of my kimchi.
来~ Guess the taste?
